1923-2016: Former Israel President, Shimon Peres dies at age 93

Shimon Peres, a Polish-Born Isreali statesman who share aNoble Prize for forging a peace deal between the Israelis and Palestinians is dead. He was the ninth President of Israel from 2007 to 2014.

The 93-year-old, died after suffering from a massive stroke two weeks ago. He was reported to be  making progress but doctors said he took a turn for the worse on Tuesday.

Zionist Union Chairman, Isaac Herzog once said. "Everywhere he goes around the world, people listen to him.

In top leadership roles over decades -- including Prime Minister and President, the Labour Party veteran became  a face of the Jewish State, instantly recognized and well respected in Israel and across the globe.
