Nigeria: Ibe Kachikwu optimistic by 2019 fuel importation will stop

The country’s crude production level has risen to about two million barrels per day, Ibe Kachikwu the Nigeria’s petroleum Minister says.
The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, who is also the immediate past Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum, Kachikwu says "the ongoing visits of the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo to the Niger Delta, it has been a positive result as there has been no blow up of any oil installation in the last two months."

The Minister was responding to legislators’ questions at a budget defence session, where he is also hopeful the county will stop the importation of fuel by 2019.
