Atleast 400 Nigerians currently jail in South African prisons – Interior Minister

Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, says Abdul-Rahman Dambazzau made a disclosure at a joint media briefing with Foreign Affairs that atleast 400 Nigerians are presently serving jail terms in South African prisons for various offences.
The Minister, before the conclusion of their visit to South Africa, over the recent xenophobic attacks on foreigners (African based), including Nigerians in that country.

He 'Onyeama' said, "though he was yet to get the details of their offences, most of them were convicted on crimes bordering on drugs, fraud and prostitution."

In anger!!! "If Nigerians with legitimate reasons to travel to South Africa are denied Visas, then the government will be left with no choice other than to retaliate," he threatened.
