Chelsea#Champion: Michy paid me a lot with this change -- Conte

Champions manager, Antonio Conte who has successfully completed his victory at West Bromwich Albion, transforming the Blues from fallen champions to Premier League title winners within 12 months of inheriting a squad that had declined from domestic superpower to mid-table mediocrity amid acrimony and the sacking of title-winning manager Jose Mourinho.
The 47-year-old has shown the personality, tactical brilliance and sure touch to put them back at the top of the English game.

In a conversation with Sky Sports, Conte gives his players plenty of credit saying: "Thank you, thank you. this is a great achievement for the players. I thank them for their commitment and work rate. They show me a great attitude to try to do something great this season. After this win we must be happy, we must be pleased.

"I thought that Hazard and Pedro were tired and we needed more energy. Michy paid me a lot with this change! It was great. It wasn't easy for me to arrive in England and try different habits, a different language and inherit players after a bad season," he said.

However, the goal scorer is very pleased with his performance tonight. He said: "For sure, yeah," says the goalscorer when asked if scoring the goal that won Chelsea the title has been the best moment of his career to date.

He’s had a tough season, spending most of it on the substitute’s bench, but he came off it tonight to scramble home a very important winner when it looked like West Brom might hold out for the draw, or even sneak an unexpected win.
